Expertly crafted, limited edition
fine prints for the discerning collector
Brett Weston, born 1911, was the second son of Edward Weston. He started working with his father, as an apprentice, from the age of 13 and made many of his own images during these years. His early work was often considered to imitate that of his father’s but he quickly developed his own style.
Exposed to revolutionary artists, modern art painters and the contrasts of Mexico he played with form and composition taking close-ups and playing with contrast. Throughout his career his images had a tendency towards abstraction.
Brett Weston was a successful photographer, exhibiting his work at the age of 17 which quickly lead to international recognition. His career spanned 70 years and he was still producing work shortly before he died in 1993.
